Dietary & Secret Menu Guide

Unofficial 2026 guide to navigating Knott's Berry Farm menus for special diets — plus a few secret hacks.

Heads up: This is an unofficial fan guide. Menu items and availability change — always confirm with a cast member at the location for the most current information, especially for allergen needs.

🩸Type 2 Diabetes (T2D) Friendly

Managing blood sugar levels in the park is all about smart modifications and knowing where to look for protein-heavy, low-carb choices.

The "Secret" Sugar-Free Boysenberry Fizz

🤫 Secret Hack

You don't have to skip the park's signature flavor! Grab a sugar-free boysenberry drink and make it a refreshing fizz by filling the cup halfway with soda water (you can find soda water on any Coke Freestyle machine or by pushing the small, clear lever on standard Sprite fountain dispensers).

Casa California Restaurante — Custom Bowl

Order a custom bowl with brown rice, black beans, and your choice of protein. To keep carbs and sugars in check, make sure to hold the corn salsa and skip the queso sauce.

Fireman's BBQ

Choose the ¼ chicken or flank steak. All meat is marinated for hours and grilled to perfection. Be mindful of the BBQ sauces, as they can be high in sugar, and pair your protein with a lighter side instead of baked beans or corn on the cob.

Entrée Salads

Available at multiple locations including Prop Shop Pizzeria, Sutter's Grill, Coasters Diner, and Grizzly Creek Lodge. Opt for lighter vinaigrettes and skip the croutons.

Pancho's Tacos

Corn tortillas are a lifesaver for lower glycemic index options. All of the meats are freshly grilled, and you can top your meal with guacamole and fresh salsa.

🥦Vegetarian Options

Finding meatless meals on the standard menus is easier than ever with several dedicated dishes and modifiable locations.

Miner's Mac and Spuds

Try the Veggie Marsala option over a baked potato or mac and cheese.

Prop Shop Pizzeria

Grab a classic pizza slice with a side salad or garlic sticks, or customize a pasta bowl topped with fresh veggies.

Calico Tater Bites

If you want something savory and filling, order the Spicy Tofu and Broccoli Tots.

Ghost Town Bakery

Sourdough bread bowls with the soup of the day are available, and vegetarian options are available upon request.

Pancho's Tacos

Vegetarian options are available upon request, allowing you to build nachos or tacos without the meat.

🌱Vegan Options

While dedicated vegan menus have shifted, several locations offer clear labels and tasty plant-based alternatives.

Mrs. Knott's Chicken Dinner Restaurant

They offer clear labels for vegan options on their regular menu. You can order a regular salad with vegan Caesar or Italian dressing, or try their popular vegan chicken tenders option with fries (also sold inside the park).

Pancho's Tacos

Vegan options are available upon request. You can customize corn tacos with guacamole, salsa, and veggies.

Calico Saloon

Ask for the Vegan Caesar Salad (make sure to order it with no croutons).

Ghost Town Bakery

Vegan options are available upon request for those looking for a quick bite or modification.

✡️Kosher Options

Finding certified Kosher meals prepared fresh in the park is extremely limited, but there are a few safe bets to keep you snacking.

The Calico Saloon Pickle

Stop by the historic Calico Saloon and grab a Kosher Pickle from their classic snack lineup.

Retail Shortbread Cookies

Head to the retail shops and look for the Knott's Berry Farm Premium Shortbread Cookies (available in Strawberry and Raspberry fillings). These bite-size pouches are certified Kosher Dairy.
