The Preservers

Ghost Town

Old American West, 1880s

Est. 1940

The original heart of Knott's Berry Farm, Ghost Town is a living recreation of an 1880s California mining town. Walter Knott hand-built many of the structures and relocated authentic Old West buildings to Buena Park. Home to the park's oldest and most beloved rides, it remains the soul of the entire resort.

Camp Snoopy

High Sierra Mountain Adventure

Est. 1983

A mountain meadow setting that serves as Knott's family hub, Camp Snoopy opened in 1983 and is the largest Peanuts-themed area in the world. Designed for younger guests and families, it features gentle rides, character meet-and-greets with Charlie Brown and Snoopy, and a charming wilderness atmosphere inspired by the California Sierra Nevada.

Boardwalk

Southern California Beach & Boardwalk

Est. 2013

The newest major land at Knott's Berry Farm, The Boardwalk transformed the former Kingdom of the Dinosaurs and original Boardwalk area into a modern Southern California beach theme. Anchored by HangTime and Xcelerator, it's the park's thrill capital with a relaxed beach aesthetic.

Fiesta Village

Spanish Colonial California

Est. 1969

A vibrant celebration of California's Spanish and Mexican heritage, Fiesta Village opened in 1969 to bring Latin-inspired color, music, and thrills to the park. Home to Montezooma's Revenge and Jaguar!, the area features colorful architecture and festive atmosphere that transports guests to old California missions and haciendas.

Wild Water Wilderness

1900s California Wilderness

Est. 1988

An immersive journey into early 20th-century California wilderness. Wild Water Wilderness opened in 1988 and is anchored by Bigfoot Rapids, one of the world's longest river-raft rides. The area also houses the acclaimed Mystery Lodge, a theatrical dark ride celebrating Native American storytelling traditions.

Indian Trails

Contemporary Cultural Preservation (1992–present)

Est. 1992

A two-acre immersive area designed to represent the diverse cultures of North American indigenous tribes. Unlike the "Old West" caricature found in many parks of the era, Indian Trails was built to provide a serious, ethnographic look at the Pacific Northwest, Great Plains, and Southwest tribes. Sandwiched between Ghost Town, Camp Snoopy, and Fiesta Village, it serves as a peaceful buffer zone in the park's layout—and the only major land expansion that prioritizes culture and education over mechanical attractions.
